The open

Srushti- The open space. co-create, was inaugurated on 12 January, 2018, by Prof. Saras Saraswathi, from Darden school of Business, University of Virginia. The open space 2 co-create, is both a learning and doing space, where art & design thinking is applied for co-creating. This is open to faculty, students and professionals from all walks of life and artists to come together to create better futures. We aim to build creative and innovative problem solving mind-set in people, using arts and design processes. Arts brings in the human centric approach to problem solving.

Design Thinking Method: Adapted from Stanford University, USA’s pioneering method of learning, Srushti is one of the first schools in India to implement this method. It is a way to develop in students a problem solving mindset, so that they can develop and execute creative and innovative solutions at work and in life. Our Principal, has completed the faculty University innovation fellow’s program at Stanford University and was sponsored by Google to attend the program.

Srushti students use the open space, to develop sensitivities to the problems around them, develop well informed opinions, and work towards finding creative, practical solutions. We also go further to pilot & test those solutions, thereby creating in our students a strong bias for action.
